"Angel, you're not going and that's final," I state in my best, most authoritative, most kingly voice. It's pretty good, if I say so myself. I have had ten years to practice it. And I have practiced it, until it's just the right tone to let whoever I'm addressing know I mean business.
My queen, however, simply snorts, not bothering to look up from her packing. "I find it funny that you thi

Ewan
My name is Ewan Amell, formerly mage of the Circle of Kinloch Hold, Warden Commander of Ferelden and ruler of the Arling of Amaranthine.
Most people know me as the Hero of Ferelden.
Five years ago I saved Thedas from the Blight, and while I was at it I put two kings on the throne, arranged a royal marriage, ended a millenarian curse, gave the Circle independence and found a lover. It may sound like I’m some sort of superhuman, but it was mostly desperation and common sense driving me, while some help from my friends, allies and sheer luck made me succeed. Only those who really know me believe me when I say t

Thoughts on DA Inquisition and Race-gated Romance
As a fan of the Dragon Age Series and of Bioware (despite some recent fails), I'm going into Inquisition fully convinced that it will be awesome.
Not only has the game been tailored and well developed with regards to criticisms towards Origins and DAII (FYI: I'll do a Logic's Insight on them soon), but much work has gone into making it a strong stand-alone game. The Gameplay looks thoughtful, fun, strategic and action packed; The story and setting retain the stark tone of previous games with the character's actions, both little and small, having gradual impacts on the people and places that they encounter; The main plot appears to be pretty
It was dark by the time Cortland Hawke found the courage to seek Anders out; and by the time he felt calm and rational enough to do so.
The Dalish scout who had carried Hawke’s letter hours earlier had refrained from commenting on the mage’s state of mind on receiving the missive, and so Cortland had little idea of what to expect from the man when he found him.
As he neared the river running alongside the small encampment, and as he passed a handful of expectant tribe members who had taken it upon themselves to guard Anders’s retreat, Cortland let the strength of his own decision flood through his body; tried to push any p
"So, Bodahn, any luck with what we talked about?" I ask. Camp's been set, our weapons sheathed, and I've finally managed to get Bodahn alone for a moment.
"I'm sorry Alistair, I haven't found anything even resembling an engagement ring. Although, I do have a nice set of enchanted rings if you want to take a look at those."
"No, that won't work. I don't want anything that's helpful against darkspawn, I want something completely and utterly useless." Bodahn shakes his head.
"I'll keep looking." Despite his obvious reservations, I grin.
"Thank you my friend." As we were falling asleep a few nights ago, Angel asked me where

Dragon Age: Alistair Chapter One
"You must be Alistair," says a female voice from behind me, tinged with amusement. I just delivered the Reverend Mother's message to the mage in the way most likely to entertain myself. It seems someone else shares my sense of humor. I turn around to share the joke with whoever it is and immediately lose all ability to speak. Or think. Or, for a moment there, breathe. Maker's breath, she's stunning! She has long brown hair, grey-blue eyes, and curves to die for(since I left the Chantry I've discovered I like curves quite a bit). She's not very tall, she only comes up to my chin, and her skin is just a touch darker than mine. I'm in heaven.
Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth I pace. I've long forgotten how many times.
"Alistair, my friend, if you do not calm down and hold still you will wear a hole right through that carpet." I glare at Zevran.
"What are you doing back here?"
"Angel has said that if I am to stay and be the Royal Assassin..."
"Who said you could be-" I start, but he continues as if I hadn't spoken.
"...that you and I would need to start getting along better. So, here I am, to calm your nerves. They do need calming, no?" I pause in my pacing and narrow my eyes at him.
"I don't trust you Zevran, especially around Angel.

Dragon Age Origins: Alistair vs Teagan
Back at Redcliffe. It seems I've come full circle. We've agreed to stay and help with the monster problem coming from the castle, and Angel is talking to Teagan about the upcoming battle's strategy while I mostly space out. There's a reason I'm not the leader. Teagan is commenting on how he knew Angel's father, Angel is saying how he spoke highly of Teagan, and then I hear this,
"I am still unwed. Though I'd be lucky to find a woman as lovely as you." My gaze snaps to Teagan to find him tracing her curves with his eyes. Hey! Stop looking at those curves! Those are my curves! Okay, so technically they're not, but I fully plan on them b
